Atrazine is a broad-spectrum, selective pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide belonging to the triazine herbicide category. It is mainly used in dryland crop fields such as corn, sorghum, and sugarcane, and exhibits excellent control effect on annual broad-leaved weeds and some gramineous weeds.
Its mechanism of action is to inhibit electron transport in Photosystem II (PS II) during weed photosynthesis, disabling their photosynthetic function and causing them to gradually die.
