Stress-resistant weed control scheme for rice fields in Southeast Asia

Application scenario

In the rice fields of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, due to high temperatures (average daily temperature >35°C) and the resistance of barnyardgrass (resistance to cyhalofop-butyl is more than 80 times), the efficacy of conventional pesticides is less than 60%, and it is easy to cause phytotoxicity to rice.

A trial conducted in Cambodia in 2024 showed that the mortality rate of barnyardgrass reached 98.3% seven days after application, which was significantly higher than the 75.6% achieved by conventional emulsifiable concentrate.

Stress resistance performance

When combined with Desheng foliar fertilizer, rice exhibits a 15% increase in tiller number under continuous high temperatures, and the lodging rate is reduced to below 5% (compared to 18% in the control field).

Economic benefits

The cost of replanting seedlings per acre is reduced by 50 yuan, and the yield of rice is increased by 10%. Based on the local purchasing price of 280 US dollars per ton, the additional income is 84 US dollars.
