Benomyl is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide belonging to the benzimidazole group. Its primary mode of action is inhibiting fungal mitosis, preventing pathogen growth and reproduction. It is widely used to control various fungal diseases on fruit trees, vegetables, cereals, tea, and ornamental plants, such as powdery mildew, leaf spot, anthracnose, and gray mold.
